Incense Kit Workshop
Beginner Level | Ages 12+
Time: Saturday, June 15th 10 AM - 4 PM
Location: Fiction
Cost: $150.00 Per Person
Wild Meraki x Chelbie Hunger Glassworks are cohosting hosting an incense kit workshop. The workshop will be broken up into two section with a 1 hour lunch break from 12:30 - 1:30 PM. There are 16 spots for this workshop. It’ll be split into two groups. You’ll take one of the workshops before lunch; then switch after lunch.
What to expect:
Carli of Wild Meraki will lead the group through crafting your own botanical incense blend and hand-rolling your own incense sticks. You’ll be spending time learning to blend herbs, flowers, resins, woods, and spices to create a dough, and learn the traditional masala hand-rolled technique to shape your own custom set of incense sticks. We will talk about the art of sacred smoke and creating intentional daily rituals. Expect to make 3-5 sticks.
Chelbie Hunger will guide the group how to design and build a fused glass incense burner. You’ll learn to cut and snip glass into pieces to create your design using mosaic methods. Your final pieces will then be kiln fired and slumped. Your creation will be ready for pickup one week after the workshop.
Safety note: This class involves cutting glass that could lead to pokes, cuts and slices. Take care to handle materials smartly. Safety materials will be provided.
Refund Policy: All sales are final. No refunds are provided if you are not able to attend the workshop. I'm happy to accommodate rescheduling as life happens to us all and if there are available spots in upcoming workshops. This is possible if notified 48 hours prior to the workshop's scheduled date.
There is a $25 rescheduling fee. Please reach out as I do try my best to be accommodating within a reasonable scope.
Herbal tea will be served during class!
